Hunter concludes her series with this tale of love and hope as Ryan McKinley sees a chance to rekindle his relationship with the ex-wife he still adores. --Library Journal
Married 'til Monday has all the components that a romance lover craves, including a hero that digs deeper than the exterior to reveal a soft, hurting woman underneath the tough, you-don't-want-to-love-me, I've-got-too-much-baggage facade. Save a chunk of time because you won't want to put this gem down! --Fiction, Faith & Foodie
"Taking a cute Hallmark movie-type of idea and deepening it with a backstory of childhood abuse that might make you weep (I did), Denise Hunter once again proves herself to be a storyteller with an eye for building characters that make you ache as you come to understand the poor choices they've made ... and exult when they overcome all that holds them back from love. With frequent dashes of humor and heat within the heartache of yearning, Married 'til Monday is an excellent book in which to get lost. I highly recommend you add it to your TBR stack! --USA TODAY blog
"From the gorgeous image of intimate love on its cover to the final pages, the book shines with the purest kind of emotion. Forgiveness, flirty banter and hilarity, emotional tumult and family all co-mingle to make this one of my favorite reads of 2015." --Dreaming Under the Same Moon
I completely fell in love with the entire McKinley family from the very beginning, and I was so looking forward to reading oldest brother Ryan's story. This book was such an awesome conclusion to the Chapel Springs Romance series! It was total amazingness from start to finish! Caitlyn S.

5+++ stars

Married 'til Monday is the third book I have read by Denise Hunter. Each one has made me more of a fan of her writing. I loved this second chance story, in fact it is my favorite by her so far I loved how Ryan took advantage of the opportunity that suddenly appeared to win his ex-wife back. In some ways this story reminded me of Fireproofing Your Marriage. In this case, something that neither Ryan nor Abby did. Abby may have not even been capable of doing so, since she is emotionally crippled from her own family upbringing. Which makes this a stronger story since often it is the male who is portrayed as the one who is emotionally distant.
Another convincing element of the story are the back flashes from both viewpoints. Seen from wiser, older perspectives helped me to empathize with Ryan and Abby. My heart broke for both on their first night on the road trip when they finally discuss the loss that started their downhill marriage spiral. From then on, I was rooting for them to embrace reconciliation. However, the past is not easily over-come, which makes this story plausible and convincing.
Most of all, I loved the sensitive but deliberate approach to showing the role God plays in successful lives and marriages. Important lesson in a remarkable novel. Highly recommend.

Perfect conclusion to the Chapel Springs Series
By Madison's Library
What a great story. Denise Hunter consistently writes fantastic contemporary romance with engaging plot lines. Married 'til Monday particularly caught my interest. Ryan is still in love with his ex-wife. His family are sure he needs to let it go, but when the opportunity presents itself to pretend to be Abby's husband for one last weekend he can't help but leap at the chance. Let the wooing begin. But of course, nothing goes as planned. Will a road trip and a series of missteps, hard truths, car break downs, longing looks and fleeting touches give Ryan and Abby the second chance Ryan so desperately wants? Well, you'll just have to read it, won't you.
And it's well worth the read. Try swoon-worthy romance (Ryan is very charming) and that feeling where you kick your legs in glee and can't stop smiling. Abby has been hurt in life, first by her family and then through her and Ryan's divorce. As the story progresses the reader is gradually given insights into Abby's childhood. We also get to see fragments of Abby and Ryan's past, which is expertly interwoven with them reuniting.
I've loved the Chapel Springs series, the now familiar and welcoming town setting, the loveable mix of characters and of course the McKinley family. Each story, this one included, can be read as a standalone, but you still get the continuation of each of the characters from the subsequent book. Readers of the previous book will especially enjoy the continuation of PJ and Cole's story. Now out of single McKinley siblings I'm guessing we have reached the end of the Chapel Springs series, but no matter what Denise Hunter writes next, more of Chapel Springs (no complaints here) or something else, it will go straight on my to-read list.
Fiction. Contemporary. Romance. Christian.

All the components that a romance lover craves...
By Dora Hiers
Yeah. What could go wrong? lol.
"There's no if. I'll be back next Monday, and everything will be exactly like it is now. You'll see."
I was soooo looking forward to Ryan's story after reading all the other books in the Chapel Springs series. The poor guy has been pining for his ex-wife, Abby, and I couldn't wait to hear their story. This restoration romance didn't disappoint!
Full of angst, the remnants of a emotionally and physically abusive childhood:
It's not true. Nothing he said is true. I'm not stupid. I'm not worthless. I'm not unlovable.
A faith thread that asks some tough questions:
Thank You, God, he'd said. Where was God now? And how come He only got credit for the good stuff?
Sprinkled with light, playful moments like this:
She suddenly realized it had been quiet a moment. Her eyes shot up to find him watching her, gun lowered. She wiped the appreciation from her face. "Not bad," she said, stepping up to take her turn.
He smirked. "My aim or...?"
"Your aim, smart aleck." She reloaded the gun, her face heating.
"If I didn't know any better, Abby McKinley, I'd think you were checking out my form."
Sigh...
Married 'til Monday has all the components that a romance lover craves, including a hero that digs deeper than the exterior to reveal a soft, hurting woman underneath the tough, you-don't-want-to-love-me, I've-got-too-much-baggage facade.
