Amazing amount of information and how to do's in one book.
The best book I have bought on this subject.
You have to read it carefully, and repeatedly, though,
And you have to follow the instructions faithfully.
And continue using it as you progress with your page or pages.
Nothing is easy.
I recommend this book to beginners and users.

Maybe you're not so dumb after all!

Facebook for dummies assumes you know little to nothing about the complicated online world of Facebook. I have not read from the beginning on through; rather I have jumped around in the book to solve problems and answer questions as they arise. I purchased the Kindle version which at times has been difficult to find the exact topic I needed. In retrospect, the paperback edition would have been easier to navigate. I do miss the dogeared pages and notes in the margins, Either way, the info is surprisingly easy to grasp. I give it a "like".

Great addition to your Ladybug collection!

I was curious about these comic books, so I decided to order one myself. It is essentially three episodes (Stormy Weather, Lady Wifi, and Evillustrator) in comic book form. However, Stormy Weather was the first episode of Miraculous Ladybug that I had ever watched while the other are also personal favorites of mine, so I actually quite enjoyed flipping through it.

The quality is also great for the price you're paying, imo. It's a lot bigger than I expected! It's almost the size of a magazine in both size and thickness, and the pages also feel thick and sturdy. I can see how the speech bubbles might look amateurish and lazy, but I personally don't mind it in the least. It felt like they were trying to make it seem more, well, comic book-like. In any case, I bought this with the intention of adding it to my Ladybug collection and I'm happy to say I'm really satisfied with the quality. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the series in general and want something to add to your collection!

(Side note: I think these comic books and the comic books that Desiree is talking about are two different ones. It was officially announced at the SDCC panel in July 2016 that Zag is planning on releasing comic books with 'new and exciting stories' about Chat Noir/Adrien in America, etc. but these clearly aren't it. My guess is that we won't be seeing them until 2017 at the earliest and those will be actual comic books - as in, hand drawn, etc. and not screenshots from the show. If that's what you're looking for, don't bother buying this. If anything, you're better off following Thomas Astruc or Jeremy Zag on Twitter for later updates and info about them.)

Hmm...

I do not know what is going on with the other one star review (different version? different book??). This is the E.S. Shuckburgh translation which is widely considered as the easiest to read (vs. Bailey). There are, perhaps, a few hundred people alive today who could take a run at Cicero in Latin and come away with anything other than gibberish given that Cicero used turns of phrases and referenced allegories that have since been lost to history. What is more, Cicero is believed to have often strayed from his own writings during his orations. To say that the Shuckburgh edition presented here is rubbish because it lacks footnotes is to say that Shakespeare's Hamlet cannot be read and enjoyed unless it contains an Addendum with Shakespeare's notes as he wrote--it's the kind of pseudo-intelligentsia snobbery that small-minds cling to in the hopes that the learned among them will misconstrue their invectives as a sign of a cultured mind.
This is a fine translation of one of the greatest treaties on the bonds of friendship, the fears and blessings of old age and the timeless questions that haunt mankind's soul. awful in every way

I am very fond of "De Amicitia" and picked up this translation to give it to a friend, but what I got was an unreadable mess. It is in an awful binding, very low-quality paper and printing, and the translation is complete garbage. It reads like it was translated by software, not to mention the 2-3 typos per page. There are no footnotes or index, and it's clear the translator has no knowledge of Roman culture.

It as bad as a translation can be. And as awful of a product as you'll find on Amazon. They really should stop selling it. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

A Must Read for Everyone!!

I loved this book!! I am new to the "self improvement" reading and I found this book to hit me right between the eyes. It's a wake up call to my own life and I truly believe everyone should read this book. This book is not just about ideal fitness (which I needed a kick in the butt on my nutrition) but on living your life each day to achieve maximum results. I realized that my mental and emotional human experience needed to be more in line with productivity instead of negative stress and worry. This book I believe can help everyone improve their ultimate human experience.

Its an ok book to read.

They have an interesting approach to fitness and health. Simplistic view what is good but I was expecting a little bit more since they have really good content on their website.
It is a good book if you don't read the blog. If you read the blog, you will know everything that is written here.

Easy to read and interesting.

Benhabib masterfully presents an alternative approach, developing an understanding of cultures as continually creating, re-creating, and renegotiating the imagined boundaries between "us" and "them."

Drawing on contemporary cultural politics from Western Europe, Canada, and the United States, Benhabib develops a double-track model of deliberative democracy that permits maximum cultural contestation within the official public sphere as well as in and through social movements and the institutions of civil society. Agreeing with political liberals that constitutional and legal universalism should be preserved at the level of polity, she nonetheless contends that such a model is necessary to resolve multicultural conflicts.

Analyzing in detail the transformation of citizenship practices in European Union countries, Benhabib concludes that flexible citizenship, certain kinds of legal pluralism and models of institutional powersharing are quite compatible with deliberative democracy, as long as they are in accord with egalitarian reciprocity, voluntary self-ascription, and freedom of exit and association. A Must-Read

Seyla Benhabib's important new book "The Claims of Culture" addresses a constellation of issues with which our contemporary liberal democratic society must deal in an age of cultural diversity both within the political boundaries the nation-state and at the global level. As Benhabib makes very clear, in this context we face a dual imperative of remaining sensitive to the plurality of the ways people both near and far choose how to live, while simultaneously seeking out a mode of reflexive ethical universalism that can provide foundations for normatively addressing crises with world-reach. We must also look askance at approaches to cultural diversity, which reify boundaries and in turn fail to take account of the fluid process of renegotiation and recreation constitutive of the contemporary practices of social and political self-definition.
The book is gracefully and limpidly written. Benhabib's has a masterful grasp of the multiple literatures involved in her undertaking and is a virtuoso of conveying their multiform ideas both incisively and reliably. This work is a must read for anyone interested cultural studies or political theory or their often-ignored yet undoubtedly intimate relationship.

Unreadable and Laborious

Quite simply, this is one of the most poorly written books I've ever seen. Benhabib's basic points are lost in a jungle of jargon that appears to be written only for herself or for a very tight circle of over-specialized academics who share the same unintelligible language. Tragically, Benhabib's points about the evolutionary nature of culture and its fit within democratic societies are valid, interesting, and worthy of contemplation, but her writing prevents most people from ever grasping them. Simply put, don't buy this book. If it is required for a course, as it was for me, tell your professor to pick something else.
